Time For Dramatic Events – Silver Bullet Teams Up With King’s College Cambridge
Following a referral from a previous happy customer, the team at King’s College Cambridge – Conference and Dining called us to discuss rebranding their facility in a bid to appeal to a wider audience and compete with the bigger London venues just down the road.
King’s College’s reputation precedes it. It is hugely successful in producing high-end events in a traditional, majestic setting, however the conference and dining team required a brand refresh comprising contemporary design concepts and quality assurance to capture the imagination of its potential customers and, most importantly, complement the standards that are achieved at King’s in delivering excellence.
In response to the brief, our creative director, Gemma Waller came up with a creative concept which finds a middle ground between celebrating and embracing all the history and grandeur the venue's unique and beautiful setting, and relaying its key messages to a very modern audience by using modern colours, page layouts and imagery.
Gemma explained, “The design has taken into consideration how the marketing collateral will sit next to the main King’s College brand but also work independently as a sub brand that will appeal to high end and aspirational markets.”
“The lifestyle imagery used is reminiscent of high fashion magazines such as Vogue. It is stylish and elegant and will appeal to the luxury market. Imagery using elements of history and references to royalty have been used throughout the campaign and it all works together to create a quirky/funky brand that makes King’s College distinctive and memorable.”
“We created the strap line ‘Time for Dramatic Events’ to reflect the dramatic and atmospheric nature of the venues whilst in keeping with the services the College provides.”
